It is learnt that Amrita Rao had a problem kissing on-screen as she is known as the girl next door.

Amrita Rao has done what many new actors would have not dared to do. The petite actor has turned down Siddharth Anand’s next film under the Yashraj Films banner, which stars Ranbir Kapoor.

It is learnt that Amrita Rao had a problem kissing on-screen as she is known as the girl next door. So far, she has acted in films like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Main Hoon Na, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi and Vivaah in which she played subdued roles.

Sources Say that, “Amrita Rao was keen on working with a prestigious banner like Yashraj. She even had a couple of meetings with Siddharth Anand. But, she soon realised that she had to kiss Ranbir. She was very clear about not kissing on-screen.

She did ask Siddharth if they could do without the kissing scene. But, he told her that the kiss was an integral part of the storyline. Amrita Rao had no option but to back out of the film.”

Amrita Rao’s mother did not confirm or deny the news. She says, “I don’t want to comment about Amrita’s film deals. You may contact her manager.” Her manager, Uttam, says, “I have recently taken over Amrita’s work and wouldn’t be sure of the details.”

Amrita Rao was unavailable for comments.

We know that Amritha Rao is making her foray down south with Mahesh Babu’s ‘Athidi’.

Amritha Rao doesn’t like the presence of media persons or photographers when she is shooting. So she made it clear to the producers of the film that she wouldn’t shoot in front of paparazzi.

But when some portions of the song were shot on a road in Hyderabad a couple of days back, a number of photographers and local people were able to shoot Amritha Rao through their phone cameras.

The next day when Amritha Rao saw her pictures circulated in through mobiles, she was angry.

On the following day, there was no respite for Amritha Rao as a number of people gate crashed and entered the shooting location to photograph Amritha Rao.

This infuriated the actress and she refused to shoot until every single photographer was shown out of the place. It is reported the director and producer duo had a tough time to pacify the glam doll.

Amrita Rao born on June 17, 1981 in Chitrapur, India is an Indian model and Bollywood actress.

Amrita Rao was born to well-to-do Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family.Her dad’s name is Deepak Rao. She has a sister named Preeta and there is an on-going debate in the media if Preeta is Rao’s twin sister.She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi & Konkani.

She stands about 5.0 feet tall.She entered the world of modeling quite by chance, when she auditioned for an advertising film for Fairever Face Cream. Success came thereafter. She was picked up for the close up ad which brought her the much wanted fame. Within months she became the model for the top brands of the country.
